The Jalsa Salana of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community (AMJ) is a three-day festival of love for Allah and His Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw), turning away from worldly pleasures and turning earnestly but joyfully to the beauty of the spiritual world.
It was first held in 1891 when the founder of the Islamic reform community of Ahmadiyya, Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Qadiani (as), invited it.
At that time, 75 of his companions took part.The AMJs Jalsa Salana is to be understood as an event to praise God and His Holy Prophet.
